WIFI Configuration Tutorial - WIFI Encoder

This artical applies to all models with WIFI function. There are 2 modes in WIFI setting:   AP mode and STA mode.

STA Mode

Step 1. Connect the WIFI antennas to the video encoder

Step 2. Select 'Enable' in 'WIFI' setting

Step 3. Select 'STA' in the 'WIFI mode' setting, and then click 'Apply'

Step 4. Click 'reboot' to restart the video encoder

Step 5. Select a WIFI in the 'WIFI List'. You must choose the WIFI which is sent from the router to which the encoder is connected, so that the computer can access WIFI IP of the encoder

** If there is none in the WIFI list, please click the 'refresh' button several times, or reboot the encoder again.

Step 6. Enter the name and the password of your selected WIFI in 'WIFI Essid' and 'WIFI Password'

Step 7. Change the IP and the gateway of the video encoder, remember the WIFI IP.

Before setting 'WIFI IP' and 'WIFI Gateway', Please refer to the IP and the gateway of the computer. The WIFI IP and the computer IP must be in the same network segment, otherwise the WIFI IP can't be logged in even if the encoder is successfully connected to the router WIFI. You can see the computer IP and the gateway in <Network Connection Details>.

Step 8. Click 'Apply'

Step 9. Click 'reboot' to restart the video encoder

Step 10. Log in to the WIFI IP of the encoder

If you can log in to the WIFI IP, it means that the WIFI connection is successful, and the WIFI status will be displayed as 'COMPLETED'.

If you cannot log in to the the WIFI IP, please log in to the cable IP, and check if WIFI password is correct, or if the WIFI IP and the computer IP are in the same network segment.

AP Mode：

When you are using AP mode, the encoder emits a wifi signal. The default name of the WIFI is ''AP_Encoder_xxxxx'', and the default WIFI password is 12345678.
